Workshop

Sunday

April 19, 2026

3:30-4:30 pm
Theater C
Speaker: Dr. Alex Robertson, Director, CompBio Informatics at Foundation Medicine

This workshop will present recent advances in the AXELIOS 1 platform, powered by sequencing by expansion (SBX) technology, and highlight new methods recently demonstrated on the platform. Alex Robertson, Foundation Medicine will share early access experiences with SBX, including in-depth data analyses of a WGS based approach to detect low ctDNA levels from limited cfDNA. By sequencing the whole genome of a solid tissue and a matched plasma sample, high accuracy and sensitivity can be achieved on the prototype platform. Data comparison to an alternate platform will also be presented.

AXELIOS 1 is still in development and not currently available.

The AXELIOS 1 sequencing platform and sequencing by expansion (SBX) technology are in development and not commercially available. The content of this material reflects current study results and/or design goals. The AXELIOS 1 sequencing platform based on SBX technology will be launched for Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. AXELIOS is a trademark of Roche.
