KAPA Adapters Selection Guide

The current portfolio of KAPA Adapters comprises two sets of 96 high-quality, ready-to-use, full-length dual-indexed adapters for ligation-based library construction in Illumina sequencing workflows:

  • KAPA Unique Dual-Indexed (UDI) Adapters contain non-redundant sequencing barcode combinations, designed to mitigate the impact of index misassignment on Illumina instruments with patterned flow cells
  • KAPA Dual-Indexed (DI) Adapters employ a combinatorial dual indexing strategy

(1) The set of 192 barcode sequences used in KAPA UDI Adapters is exclusive to Roche.
(2) SeqCap adapters are methylated and may be used in combination of KAPA library construction kits in bisulfite sequencing workflows that are that require the legitation of methylated adapters during library construction.
(3) This is sufficient for four library preps with the KAPA HyperPrep or KAPA HyperPlus Kit if no adapter dilution is required.Generous overfill supports use on automated liquid handling system.
(4) KAPA Adapter plates are shipped with peelable seals.Replacement seals for KAPA UDI Adapter Kits are peelable and pierceable whereas replacement seals for KAPA DI Adapters Kits are peelable only.

 

 

Full-length dual-indexed KAPA Adapters

Full-length dual-indexed KAPA Adapters support a wide variety of applications, but are particularly suited for PCR-free workflows as sequencing barcodes are added during the ligation step of library construction.
